THE DONKEY ATTITUDE

Hey, this is a good one. We should have this kind of attitude when face any kind of obstacles. Be optimistic all the time. I did not choose to close this message but chose to pass this along to everyone to spread the fun. Thanks Suzan for sharing this with me.

" One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be
covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all
grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to
everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He
was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off
and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the
animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon,
everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well
and happily trotted off!"

MORAL :
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to
getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells
just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step
up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive..
2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less

GOOD NEWS TO BE PROUD OF

Here is an email sent to me by my Teacher Jean Yeoh regarding the confirmation of the line dance being included in the Olympic event which we all line dancers are to be proud of:-

A message from Jean Yeoh:

Dear linedance friends,
I just received an article from Beijing, confirming that Line Dance has been included in the Olympic event - lighting the torch in Tian An Meng on 6.8.2008 with 500 VIPs from all over the world witnessing the kick off ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. There will be 400 linedancers dancing 'We are ready' and ' Forever Friends' , which we choreographed last August. Mr. Yang told me in June when I was in Beijing planning this event with the committee that another Olympic theme song may also be included.
"It is a great news we linedancers can be proud of - Line Dance :an Olympic display item depicting most popular sports in China, with Taijiquan, wushu and lion dance lining behind!" said the news attached in the file.
Well, this is one added publicity for our 2008 PISA event as at least 4 lead dancers have booked their air tickets to come join our 2008PILDC!
Cheers! Jean Yeoh

WHAT A GOOD ANSWER

A member sent this to me, what a good answer by a Priest who doesn't lie, would like to share with all my friends and have a good laugh! Life is short but a smile takes barely a second:-

A woman on a flight asked the Priest beside her, "Father, may I ask a
favour?"

“Of course, what may I do for you?"

"Well, I bought an expensive woman's electronic hair dryer for my
mother's birthday that is unopened and well over the Customs limits.
Is there any way you could carry it through Customs for me? Under your
robes perhaps?"

"I would love to help you, dear, but I must warn you: I will not lie."

"With your honest face, Father, no one will question you."

When they got to Customs, she let the priest go ahead of her, the
official asked, "Father, do you have anything to declare?"

"From the top of my head down to my waist, I have nothing to declare."

The official thought this answer strange, so asked, "And what do you have
to declare from your waist to the floor?"

“I have a marvelous instrument designed to be used on a woman, but which
is, to date, unused."

Roaring with laughter, the official said, "Go ahead, Father. Next"

DANCES TAUGHT

Time flies, it's July now, half a year has gone. Quite a number of dances we have done after the May mid year jam. In fact, some of the dances were forgotton without practice. Well, there are always new dances coming up right? So, don't worry about the old one, just dance.....

Dances gone thru from 30th June to 05th July 2008:

Take Me Away (32 count-4 wall-Intermediate) - Choroegraphed by Gerard Murphy to music Pocketful Of Sunshine. For those who like this song, this is simple, nice n cool, with only one tag, furthermore you don't have to worry if you can't do apple jack. (my apology, I don't mean to offend anybody.)

Take A Bow (32 count-4 wall-Intermediate/Advance) - Choreographed by Niels B Poulsen to music Take A Bow by Rihanna. Well, this is awsome! It really flows well with the music. After dancing for few times, you'll find that it's not that difficult even with the turnings.

Alabao (32 count-2 wall-Beginner) - Choreographed by Andrew, Simon & Sheila to music Alabao by Enrique Iglesias. Nice music with simple steps, easy for beginners to follow.

Take A Bow (40 count-2 wall- Intermediate) - This dance is choreographed by me to music Take A Bow by Leona Lewis. Hope you will like it. Your comments will be appreciated.

MY DANCE

When I heard of this song, Take A Bow by Leona Lewis, I was trying to look for any choreography but failed to do so, There is choreography for Rihanna's version which I will do later. Therefore, I decided to make this piece of dance and hope my fellow members would like it. We have tried it out the first time this morning, seems to be fine, off course there is still room for improvement.
