1st National & Y.M.C.A International Standard & Latin Ballroom, Hip Hop & Belly Dance Competition

Lately, I was busy with my practices in my Latin Ballroom dances. Me and my partner were participated in the above competition under the beginner category as we are only have less than a year experience in this field and it was our first time entering the competition. It was quite exciting, nervours through out the whole process. We were in a group of 30 over couples of beginners level, we managed to go through the heat, quater final, semi final and finally enter the final. Unfortunately, our Rhumba was not qualified in the final. We managed to obtained 4th placing in the Cha Cha Cha out of the six finalist. It's quite an encouragement for us as the first timer though we were not in the first three, well, will do our best in future competition and hopefully will be able to be the champion one day.

"The true dancing girl, who has a great aptitude for such matters, and years of experience, is a marvel to behold, for she seems always different, subtle and surprising. Some of these girls, interestingly, are not even particularly beautiful, though in the dance they become so."

"When you are fifty, you're neither young nor old; you're just uninteresting. When you are sixty, and still dancing, you become something of a curiosity. And hey! if you hit seventy, and can still get a foot off the ground, you're phenomenal!"
